Sleepy Hello respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to sleepyhello.com and to the emails we send.

We use information to run the store, understand shopping activity, and measure advertising. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta advertising begin automatically on a browser without saved privacy choices, without an acceptance click or tracking popup. You can turn them off in Cookie Settings, and you can contact us to exercise your privacy rights.

Information we collect

Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you create an account.
Order information — items purchased, shipping address, phone number (used for delivery updates), and order history, so we can fulfill and support your orders.
Email signups — your email address when you join our waitlist or newsletter, with your browser's time zone and the approximate country our network provider detects from your connection. We use these to send emails at a sensible hour and to show prices, currency and shipping offers for your country.
Reviews and messages — content you submit, such as product reviews or support emails.
Technical basics — standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site working well.
Analytics — while analytics is on, Google Analytics receives browser and device information, page visits, product views, cart actions, checkout starts, and confirmed purchases with product details, quantities, order identifiers, and amounts. Analytics starts automatically where this browser has no saved choice and can be turned off separately.
Session replay and heatmaps — while analytics is on, Microsoft Clarity receives browser and device information and interactions such as clicks, pointer movements, scrolling, and navigation on selected public shopping and content pages. It uses browser/session identifiers and page recordings to help us understand product interest and improve the store. We mask private content and form inputs and exclude account, sign-in, checkout, and support pages from recording. We do not send Clarity your customer ID or identify you by name or email.
Advertising — while advertising is on, shopping events and confirmed purchases are shared with Meta through its Pixel and Conversions API. This can include product identifiers, amounts and currency, ad-click and browser identifiers, your browser type and IP address, and normalized, hashed email or customer identifiers for matching. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. Advertising starts automatically where this browser has no saved choice, unless Global Privacy Control is present.
Additional Meta page and product information — Meta's Pixel uses AI to identify and include additional website details, such as product names, availability, and business information, alongside shopping events. This follows the same advertising setting. Our purchase-event integration excludes payment card details, private checkout links, messages, and skin consultation answers.

How we use your information

To process and deliver your orders, and to send transactional emails such as order confirmations and shipping updates.
To provide customer support and respond to your messages.
To send marketing emails only if you opted in — you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe option or by emailing us.
To keep the store secure, prevent fraud, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

Payment information

Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). Your card details go directly to them over an encrypted connection — we never receive or store your full card number. Stripe's handling of your data is described in their own privacy policy.

When we share information

We share information with the following providers and advertising partners for the purposes described below:

Microsoft Clarity — while analytics is on, to view public-page interactions, heatmaps, and session replays and improve the shopping experience. Microsoft processes this usage data under its own privacy statement. We keep Clarity's advertising storage disabled.
Meta — while advertising is on, to measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may connect these events and additional page and product information with its account and advertising information under its own privacy policy.

Advertising choices

We do not sell customer lists. Disclosure to advertising partners may count as a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable privacy laws. To opt out of our Meta advertising disclosure, turn Advertising off in Cookie Settings or enable Global Privacy Control in your browser. This does not affect your ability to shop. Automatic initial settings are recorded separately from choices you save. They are not recorded as affirmative consent, and using the website does not waive your privacy rights. Choices apply to the browser where you make them; use the controls on other browsers or devices too.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep your cart working. The Analytics control covers both Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Analytics and advertising have separate controls and start automatically only where no saved choice applies. Saved refusals are kept. Email personalization is a separate setting for marketing subscribers and never signs you up to marketing emails. You can change these settings on our Cookies page without affecting shopping.

Browser privacy signals

We honor Global Privacy Control as an advertising refusal, including for queued server events. It keeps Meta advertising off even when the initial site setting would otherwise be on. Analytics has its own control. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising personalization or enable Google signals.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above: account data while your account is active, order records as long as tax and accounting law requires, and marketing emails until you unsubscribe. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — email hey@sleepyhello.com from the address on your account and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live (including California and other US states with privacy laws), you may have additional statutory rights; we honor these for all customers regardless of state. We will never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

Children's privacy

Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and its effective date, and for significant changes we'll notify you by email where appropriate.
