Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser is Isntree's non-foaming cleansing milk, built around Andong yam root extract over a sunflower seed oil phase. It goes onto dry skin rather than wet, and that oil phase does the work: roughly a minute of gentle massage loosens sunscreen and the day's makeup before any water is involved.
Wet fingertips then turn the cream into a thin white emulsion that rinses clear under warm water. There is no soap and no sulfate anywhere in the 27-item list, so nothing lathers and skin does not finish squeaky. Isntree prints pH 5.5 (±1) on the front of the bottle.
Behind the yam root sits the brand's vegan milk complex: okra, lotus root, wakame, kombu, soybean, coconut, rice, sweet almond and oatmeal extracts. Every material on the label is plant, algae or synthetic in origin, with nothing animal-derived, which is what the word printed above the product name refers to.
It is aimed at dry, dehydrated and easily irritated skin, and it is deliberately mild rather than exhaustive. Waterproof mascara and long-wear foundation sit beyond its reach, and oilier faces often report it feels too rich or leaves a faint film behind. 220 ml, through a pump.
