What does "Triple Action" actually mean?

It is the product's own name, not an ingredient. The pack carries a small circled 3 above three items it sets out to work on around the eye: lines, visible signs of age, and tone that has gone uneven. Nothing extra arrives in the tube because of the phrase. Descriptions elsewhere online tie the words to three different things, so it is worth reading the ingredient list rather than the name.

How much retinol does it contain?

Retinol at 0.1%, printed on the side of the tube and carried through onto SOME BY MI's own ingredient list. A second retinoid, retinal, sits at 1 ppm and appears near the end of the list. That puts it at the gentler end of what leave-on retinol products offer, which is a sensible place to be for skin as thin as the eye area, though it also means patience matters more than intensity here.

I have never used a retinoid. How do I start?

Slowly. Two or three evenings in the first fortnight, then every other evening, then nightly only once your skin has stopped reacting to it. Rushing that ramp is what causes the flaking and stinging people blame on retinol itself. SOME BY MI also asks that you try a little on some less demanding spot, behind an elbow being the usual choice, well before any lands near your eyes.

Morning, evening, or both?

SOME BY MI is direct about this: the formula can raise how sensitive your skin is to sunlight, so it belongs at the end of a night routine, and sunscreen belongs on your face during the day for as long as you keep using it. Some listings still repeat an older twice-daily instruction. The brand's current guidance is evening only, and that is the one to follow.

Can I layer it with my other retinol or acids?

Take care. This already carries two retinoids, so stacking another one, or a vitamin C, AHA or BHA, on the same stretch of skin in the same session is asking a lot of it. Alternating across the week is the calmer approach, or keeping whatever you use on your face clear of the orbital bone on the evenings this goes on.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Partly. SOME BY MI has it hypoallergenic tested and positions it as daily retinol care for sensitive skin. Against that, fragrance closes the ingredient list, and retinoids ask more of reactive skin than most steps do. We have therefore left it out of our sensitive-skin filter while keeping the brand's own suitability on record. Patch test, and give any reaction time to settle before going nightly.

Can I use it while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Will it get rid of my dark circles?

It works on how the area looks, not on what is causing it. Where the shadow comes from surface tone, niacinamide and glutathione are the parts of this formula aimed at it. Where it comes from bone structure, hollowing, or vessels showing through skin this thin, no cream reaches that, and it is fairer to say so before you buy than after.
