Mediheal toner pads review: choosing between the formulas
Updated September 8, 2026
Mediheal toner pads make the most sense when you want a ready-soaked toner or a small mask for selected areas. For hydration, start by comparing Watermide and Collagen. For a centella formula, look at Madecassoside. If exfoliation is the point, investigate Phyto-Enzyme separately. Buying a different color for every concern can quickly leave you with several products doing overlapping jobs.
This review compares the ingredient lists, directions and sizes on Mediheal's US storefront, checked September 8, 2026. We haven't worn or independently tested the pads, and these are selection choices rather than a performance ranking. The current range includes eight individual formulas; older six- or seven-option reviews won't cover every choice now listed. Mediheal's US pad range.
Watermide or Collagen: two ways to approach hydration
The is the more direct starting point if your shopping goal is a hydrating toner in pad form. Its ingredient list includes betaine, sodium PCA, hydroxyethyl urea and several hyaluronic-acid forms. The brand permits a gentle swipe after cleansing or a 15-minute application on selected areas, making it an option for someone who specifically enjoys the short-mask format. .
That doesn't establish longer-lasting hydration than your current toner. If you already like your liquid, the practical upgrade would be the ready-soaked application, not a proven improvement in results.
The Collagen Ampoule Pad offers a different formula: glycerin, betaine, collagen extract, ceramide NP, milk protein extract and peptides, among other ingredients. It is worth comparing if those are ingredients you already enjoy in a moisturizing product. Milk protein is also a useful detail for anyone deliberately avoiding that ingredient. Collagen formula and directions.
Treat the lifting language cautiously. Listing collagen does not, by itself, prove that the pad rebuilds your skin's collagen. The inspected product page doesn't provide enough finished-product study detail to rank it above Watermide for firmness or hydration.
Both come in 100-pad tubs. Neither is an obvious purchase if your priority is avoiding aromatic oils: Watermide lists oils including rosemary and clary, while Collagen includes lavender, geranium and orange peel oils. Your own ingredient preferences may settle this comparison before the hero ingredient does.
Madecassoside or Teatree: read beyond “blemish” and “trouble”
Madecassoside Pad, also labeled Madecassoside Blemish Pad, combines niacinamide, glycerin, centella ingredients, madecassoside and allantoin. It is a candidate for someone looking for a centella-containing toner step, rather than someone trying to add an acid peel. The current formula also includes cedarwood, mugwort, patchouli and rosemary oils. Madecassoside formula and directions.
Teatree Trouble Pad uses a different ingredient list, with tea tree leaf water, leaf oil and extracts, plus lactobacillus ferment and allantoin. Choose between these two by checking which complete formula you want and tolerate, not by assuming that the green box is necessarily stronger. Teatree formula and directions.
Neither of these current lists contains the papain, betaine salicylate and capryloyl salicylic acid combination listed in Phyto-Enzyme. Citric acid appears in many cosmetic formulas, but its presence alone doesn't establish an exfoliating treatment; the FDA notes that AHAs can also serve purposes such as pH adjustment. FDA information on AHAs.
The names also don't establish acne treatment or scar removal. If a breakout treatment is already part of your routine, judge these as optional supporting skincare. A calming product description isn't a reason to replace prescribed care.
Vitamide and Retinol Collagen need a closer ingredient check
Vitamide Brightening Pad contains niacinamide, sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a vitamin C derivative, and retinol in the current US list. That last ingredient is easy to miss if you shop from the brightening name alone. Several aromatic oils and fragrance-related components, including linalool and limonene, are listed too. The brand describes a stretchable pad for fitting selected areas. Vitamide ingredients and application.
If you already use a niacinamide or vitamin C product comfortably, ask what a second formula would add. The pad might be an enjoyable replacement format; it doesn't need to become an extra brightening layer. No retinol percentage is disclosed in the ingredient panel we inspected, so we can't compare its strength with a retinol serum.
Retinol Collagen Lifting Pad is a separate product. Its list includes retinol, hydrolyzed collagen, ceramide NP, lavender oil and chamomile oil. Its directions describe stretching the pad onto a target area and patting in the remaining essence. Retinol Collagen product page.
If you're deliberately avoiding retinoids, check both products, not just the one with “Retinol” on the front. If you use a prescribed retinoid, ask your prescriber before adding another retinol product. We aren't treating either pad as interchangeable with a prescribed treatment or assigning a lifting result to its stretchable material.
Phyto-Enzyme belongs in the exfoliation decision
Phyto-enzyme Peeling Pad is the clearest exfoliation-focused option here. The current formula names papain, betaine salicylate and capryloyl salicylic acid, commonly called LHA. The tub contains 90 pads, unlike the 100-pad versions above. Phyto-Enzyme formula and directions.
Consider it when you actually want an exfoliating step. Don't add it automatically after another exfoliating toner because both products look gentle or watery. The published list doesn't disclose enough information to calculate an acid strength or a salicylic-acid equivalent.
The American Academy of Dermatology cautions that exfoliating alongside retinol, prescription retinoids or benzoyl peroxide can increase dryness and irritation. It also advises avoiding exfoliation on sunburn or open wounds. AAD exfoliation guidance.
If you're still choosing between a pad and a liquid, our Korean exfoliator comparison covers that broader decision. The convenience of a pad is a reason to compare formats, not to use both.
Where PDRN fits
The newer PDRN Lifting Pad is another 100-pad option. Its current list includes glycerin, niacinamide, rose flower water, panthenol, ectoin, sodium DNA and geranium oil. That is a different formula from Retinol Collagen; the two shouldn't be grouped together just because both names mention lifting. PDRN formula and directions.
It may interest someone who wants to try that particular hydrating formula. The name alone is not evidence of tissue regeneration, an injection-like result or superior pore care. If Watermide already matches your hydration goal, “newer” isn't enough to make PDRN the more useful purchase.
A swipe and a mask are different ways to use the same jar
Place pads after cleansing, before your usual moisturizer. A hydrating pad can take the place of a liquid toner application; you don't have to apply another toner simply to preserve a routine order. For a morning routine, keep your usual sunscreen step.
Check the directions for the exact variant and package you buy:
Watermide, Madecassoside, Teatree, Vitamide and PDRN: the current US text permits gentle swiping or 15 minutes on selected areas, followed by letting the remaining serum absorb. Those pages also permit morning and evening use; that is an option, not a twice-daily requirement.
Phyto-Enzyme: its US page also describes swiping or a 15-minute mask, but this remains an exfoliating formula. Don't interpret that wording as a recommendation to begin twice daily.
Collagen: the page's main directions say 15 minutes, while a separate product section says five. Follow your supplied packaging and ask Mediheal if its timing is unclear; we aren't turning contradictory instructions into a universal five-to-15-minute rule.
Retinol Collagen: the reviewed directions describe targeted placement and stretching without a clear contact time. Don't borrow the timing from ordinary Collagen or another pad.
For the variants whose directions say to let the serum absorb, a routine rinse isn't part of those instructions. A reaction is different: wash the product off and stop using it if your skin reacts.
Use clean hands and the supplied picker if your pack includes one, then close the container. Keep used pads out of the jar. Light placement or a gentle swipe is enough; repeated scrubbing adds friction without changing the formula. Pads can also be inconvenient around curves where they won't stay put. You needn't cover your whole face to make the purchase count.
What does a jar actually cost to use?
The US pages reviewed listed Watermide, Collagen, Madecassoside, Teatree, Vitamide and Retinol Collagen at $26.40 for 100 pads, and Phyto-Enzyme at $26.40 for 90. These are September 8, 2026 observations, before shipping, tax or discounts; check the current price when buying. PDRN's page displayed conflicting price figures, so it isn't included in this calculation.
At those listed prices:
One pad from a 100-pad jar costs about 26 cents. A three-pad mask costs about 79 cents.
One Phyto-Enzyme pad costs about 29 cents. Three cost about 88 cents.
A 100-pad jar gives 100 single-pad applications, or 33 three-pad sessions with one pad left.
That last number is more helpful than a promise that a tub lasts for months. Your use rate, the package's storage instructions and its period-after-opening guidance determine how long you can sensibly keep it.
Compare a refill with a complete tub by exact variant, count and final price. A travel pack can lower the amount you spend trying a formula, while costing more per pad. Neither is automatically the better deal. If you apply a liquid toner with your hands, switching to pads also adds a disposable item each time. Our Korean toner-pad guide compares that tradeoff across brands.
Before ordering several colors
Choose the formula you can explain a use for: hydration in pad form, a particular ingredient combination, or a deliberate exfoliating step. Then check the complete ingredient list against anything you already avoid. Across the eight versions reviewed, every list includes at least one aromatic oil; none should be assumed aromatic-oil-free because it says “soothing.”
Try a small area before committing to full-face use. The AAD's home product-testing advice explains a seven-to-ten-day check; keep the product's own frequency and contact-time limits in view. A home check cannot guarantee future tolerance. Seek dermatology advice for a severe reaction or one that doesn't settle.
Once you've tried the format, assess the practical part too: Did you actually enjoy using the picker? Did a mask fit into your morning? Would you reach for this instead of your usual toner? Those answers are more useful reasons to repurchase than an empty space beside the jar for another color.
