Is this the same as the COSRX Pure Fit Cica Cleanser?

No. COSRX sells two Pure Fit Cica face washes with confusingly similar names. This one, the Creamy Foam Cleanser, is a 39-ingredient soap-based cream that you foam in your hands. The other, sold simply as Pure Fit Cica Cleanser, is a 28-ingredient formula built on sodium cocoyl isethionate and coco-betaine, and it carries pinus pinaster bark extract, which this one does not. Check the wording on the tube if you are reordering.

Does it contain fragrance?

There is no fragrance or parfum entry on the list. None of the twenty-six individually declarable EU allergens shows up as a literal either. What is there instead is four essential oils: eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, lavandula angustifolia oil, citrus nobilis oil and pinus palustris oil. Those are aromatic plant materials, so the product is scented even though no fragrance blend is declared. Patch-test first if botanical oils have bothered your skin.

Is it a deep-cleansing or exfoliating wash?

No, and it is worth being plain about that. The formula contains no salicylic acid, no glycolic or lactic acid, no enzyme, no clay and no scrub particles. It is a surfactant wash, so it removes what is sitting on the surface - sebum, sunscreen, dust and makeup residue - and then goes down the drain. Anything described as clearing out a pore or exfoliating belongs to a different step in a routine.

What does the 91% figure on COSRX's page mean?

COSRX states that 91% of this cleanser's ingredients are naturally derived. That is a composition figure describing where the raw materials came from, not a study result and not a measure of how well the product performs, so we have kept it out of the body copy. Naturally derived also does not mean gentler by default: the four essential oils in this formula are natural too, and they are the most aromatic thing in it.

Is it a low-pH cleanser?

COSRX publishes no pH for this cleanser and we are not going to estimate one. What the label does show is a classic soap system: four plant-derived fatty acids neutralised by an alkali, potassium hydroxide, inside the top seven entries. Soap-based washes generally sit on the alkaline side rather than near skin's own pH. If a specifically low-pH cleanser is what you are looking for, this format is not the one.

My skin is sensitive. Should I use this?

COSRX aims the Pure Fit Cica line at irritated and easily reddened skin and says so on this product's own packaging artwork. The honest counterweight is the formula: a soap-based wash plus four essential oils is a more assertive combination than a fragrance-free syndet cleanser. Try it on a small area first, keep contact short rather than massaging for a minute, and follow with a moisturiser while skin is still damp.

COSRX Pure Fit Cica Creamy Foam Cleanser is the wash step of the Pure Fit Cica line. A pea-sized squeeze of dense cream whips into a tall, cushiony lather in wet hands, lifts the day's surface oil, sunscreen and grime, and rinses away without leaving a film behind.

The lather comes from a classic potassium-soap base. Myristic, palmitic, stearic and lauric acids neutralised by potassium hydroxide sit third through seventh on the label, just behind water and glycerin. That system foams generously from very little product and rinses very clean, which is why it suits skin that turns shiny by mid-afternoon more than skin that already feels tight after washing.

COSRX calls the soothing half Cica-7, and the number is literal rather than marketing shorthand. Seven centella entries appear on the panel: three botanical extracts drawn from the leaf, the root and the whole plant, then the four centella triterpenes asiatic acid, asiaticoside, madecassic acid and madecassoside. They sit low on the list, where soothing botanicals in a rinse-off product normally do.

Two things deserve a mention before you add it to a basket. The label carries no fragrance or parfum entry, but it does carry four essential oils - eucalyptus, lavender, mandarin and pine - so patch-test if aromatic plant oils have bothered you. And this is a wash rather than an exfoliant: no acid, clay or scrub particle is present, so it clears what is sitting on the surface and stops there.
