Supple Preparation Unscented Toner is the fragrance-free member of the Klairs toner family, made without the essential oils that scent the original. It pours out clear and faintly viscous, closer to a thin serum than to water, and goes on straight after cleansing as the first leave-on step of a routine.
Sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan, betaine and panthenol do most of the water-binding, with centella asiatica, licorice root, aloe and hollyhock flower extracts filling out a botanical base. Klairs also formulates it without ethanol, silicones and artificial color, so there is very little in the bottle for scent-reactive skin to argue with.
One pass leaves a soft, cushioned finish; because the texture has some body, a second pass can go over drier patches without making the whole face feel loaded. Normal, combination, dry and sensitive-leaning routines tend to get on with it best.
It is not an exfoliating toner, and it will not stand in for a moisturizer when skin wants something richer to finish on. The 180 mL bottle is the full size, and Klairs certifies the formula vegan and PETA cruelty-free.
