iUNIK Centella Bubble Cleansing Foam arrives as finished foam straight out of the pump, so there is no step where a gel gets worked up by hand first. Centella asiatica leaf water stands ahead of plain water on the ingredient panel, which is unusual for a wash and is the one thing about this bottle worth knowing first.
What actually does the cleaning is a short, mild surfactant set: disodium cocoamphodiacetate and TEA-cocoyl glutamate, with polyglyceryl-4 caprate alongside them. There is no sulfate and no soap in the list, and iUNIK builds the base at what it calls a mildly acidic pH. Allantoin follows, then a tail of botanicals including tea tree leaf water, rice bran, purslane, perilla, rooibos, myrrh and licorice root.
Skipping the lather step means less rubbing against the skin overall, which is the practical case for keeping this by the sink on days your face is easily provoked. It rinses away without leaving the squeaky, over-clean feeling a harsher wash can.
One honest caveat: the panel stored for this bottle declares Fragrance, so this is not a fragrance-free product, and iUNIK publishes no pH figure anywhere. Read the carton you receive, because this formula has been revised more than once.
