Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask review: vs the Collagen Night Wrapping Mask
Updated October 22, 2026
Buy the Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask if you want an occasional, long-wear hydrating mask that you leave on for an afternoon or overnight and then lift off as one sheet; at $19.99 for four sheets, it works out to about $5 a use. If you would rather mask several nights a week for less per night, the Collagen Night Wrapping Mask, a gel you spread on and peel off in the morning, is the more practical buy.
The two aren't the same formula in a different shape. The gel mask is the one with PDRN (listed as sodium DNA), niacinamide and about a dozen peptides; the wrapping mask is a simpler glycerin, hyaluronic acid and ceramide film with no PDRN on its ingredient list.
This is a researched review of current US brand and retailer information, checked October 2026. We haven't worn or tested either mask; texture and color-change descriptions are Medicube's, and the buying advice comes from comparing formulas, directions, sizes and prices.
What you're buying with the PDRN Pink Collagen Gel Mask
The is a hydrogel mask: a soft, jelly-like film rather than a woven cloth soaked in essence. Each box holds four sealed sachets with one 28 g sheet inside, cut into an upper piece for the forehead and eye area and a lower piece for the cheeks and chin. It costs $19.99 at Sleepy Hello, checked October 2026, which is about $5.00 per sheet.
The first ten ingredients are water, glycerin, methylpropanediol, acrylates/ethylhexyl acrylate copolymer, niacinamide, chondrus crispus (a red seaweed) powder, 1,2-hexanediol, butylene glycol, betaine and carob gum. In plain terms, glycerin, methylpropanediol, butylene glycol and betaine are humectants, ingredients that hold water at the skin's surface. The copolymer, seaweed powder and carob gum, with glucomannan, xanthan and guar gum further down, build the jelly itself. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) sits fifth, though Medicube doesn't publish its percentage.
The headline ingredients come later. Hydrolyzed collagen, cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), ascorbic acid and sodium DNA, the ingredient-list name for Medicube's salmon-derived PDRN, appear about two-thirds of the way down the 42-ingredient list. After them come tocopherol (vitamin E) and a run of peptides, from acetyl hexapeptide-8 to copper tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tripeptide-5. Panthenol, allantoin and adenosine sit in the middle of the list.
Medicube doesn't publish the PDRN or collagen concentration. Both come after ethylhexylglycerin, a preservative helper normally used at low levels, so expect small amounts. That is common for these ingredients, but it means this is first a humectant hydrogel and second a PDRN product.
A few other label facts worth knowing:
No fragrance, essential oil or ethanol appears on the ingredient list.
Medicube says no artificial color is added. The list includes cyanocobalamin, the naturally pink vitamin Medicube credits for the color of its PDRN Pink Peptide Serum.
Because the sodium DNA is salmon-derived, the mask isn't vegan.
Medicube says the formula was tested for low irritation. That is the brand's own testing, and it can't promise how your skin will respond.
How long do you leave the Medicube PDRN gel mask on?
Medicube's directions give two options: for a daytime session, leave it on for three to four hours or until the sheet turns transparent; at night, apply it as the last step of your routine and remove it in the morning. The brand's US product page also gives a general range of one to four hours depending on your skin's condition, so a shorter first session is within the directions.
That is far longer than most woven sheet masks, which are usually directed for 15 to 20 minutes. The format is the reason. Medicube says the jelly keeps its essence against skin for much longer, where a cloth sheet dries out within the hour.
The color change is the built-in timer. Medicube says the sheet goes from pink to transparent over three to four hours and links that to absorption. Read a clear sheet as a cue that the session is done, not as a measurement of what your skin took in.
A simple order of use:
Cleanse, then apply your toner or a serum. A thin layer of Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum, 30 ml fits here; its directions are two to three drops after toner.
Unfold the sheet. Place the upper piece across the forehead and eye area, then the lower piece across the cheeks and chin, and smooth out any air pockets.
Leave it on for one to four hours, or overnight.
Lift it off. Medicube's directions stop there; our suggestion is to press in any leftover essence, follow with moisturizer if your skin wants it, and finish with sunscreen in the daytime.
Medicube suggests keeping the small eye and mouth off-cuts to place on your neck or under the eyes during the same session. One more note from the brand: because this is a hydrogel rather than a woven sheet, Medicube doesn't recommend using it with a device's sheet-mask mode.
Can you sleep in the Medicube PDRN gel mask?
Yes. Overnight wear is one of the two uses in Medicube's directions: apply it as the final step of your evening routine and take it off when you get up.
Two practical points before your first night. A loose sheet can shift on a pillow in a way a dried-down film can't, so if you sleep on your side, expect to smooth it back into place or use it on a night you'll sleep on your back. And try a daytime session first, so you know how your skin feels after a few hours under the sheet before you commit to a full night. If it stings, itches or burns, take it off and rinse.
How often can you use the Medicube collagen gel mask?
Medicube doesn't set a weekly limit; its US page only says the mask suits a daily skincare routine. Each sheet is single use, so the real limits are cost and time: daily use would empty a box in four days at about $5 a day.
Our take: one or two sessions a week, or a sheet saved for the night before an event, matches the pack size and price. If your skin feels dry enough that you want a mask every night, a richer moisturizer or the lower-cost wrapping mask below is the more sustainable answer. Keep unopened sachets sealed in the box until you need them; there is no partial-use option, so one sachet is one wear.
Medicube gel mask vs Collagen Night Wrapping Mask: which should you buy?
Buy the gel mask for occasional, longer sessions with the fuller formula. Buy the Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask, 75 ml if you want an overnight step several times a week at a lower cost per night.
The wrapping mask is a gel in a tube. You spread an even layer as the very last step, after your cream, keeping it away from the eyebrows, hairline, eyes and lips. Medicube says to let it dry for about 15 minutes, leave it on overnight, then peel it from the edges or rinse it off with lukewarm water in the morning. The brand says the dried film is designed not to transfer to your pillow, and that a generous, slightly thicker layer peels more cleanly.
Its first ten ingredients are water, polyvinyl alcohol, glycerin, agave stem extract, sodium hyaluronate, 1,2-hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, polyglyceryl-10 laurate, chlorella extract and glucose. Polyvinyl alcohol is the film-former that makes the peel possible; sodium hyaluronate is a form of hyaluronic acid. Ceramide NP and collagen extract appear near the end. There is no sodium DNA, niacinamide or peptide on the list, and Medicube describes the formula as unscented, with no artificial fragrance or color.
On price, the wrapping mask is $16.99 for 75 ml at Sleepy Hello, about 23 cents per ml, checked October 2026. Medicube doesn't publish how many applications a tube gives, and its directions ask for a generous layer, so we can't give an honest per-night figure. Even so, one tube covers far more nights than four sheets do.
The two also sit in different places. The wrapping mask goes on top of your full routine and holds it in place overnight. The gel mask goes on after toner or serum and is the main event for that session.
Pick the gel mask if:
you want to mask for a few hours on a free afternoon or the night before an event
you want PDRN, niacinamide and peptides in the mask itself
you dislike the feel of a peel-off film or the 15-minute drying wait
Pick the wrapping mask if:
you want an overnight step several nights a week
moisture seems to slip away while you sleep, but your current cream is otherwise fine
you'd rather spend $16.99 on a longer-lasting supply than $19.99 on four sessions
You can own both and use them on different nights. There is no reason to layer the wrapping film over the gel sheet, since the sheet comes off before the next step.
Medicube gel mask vs Biodance: what is the difference?
They are the same kind of product: two-piece hydrogel sheets that change color as you wear them and can be left on for hours or overnight. The differences are the formula, the sheet weight and where you can buy them.
Biodance's Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask is a 34 g sheet that goes from opaque to transparent; Medicube's is 28 g and goes from pink to clear. Biodance's directions also give three to four hours or until transparent, or overnight. Its ingredient list centers on glycerin, niacinamide, betaine, allantoin, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, several ferments and collagen extract, with rose flower water and botanical extracts. Medicube's list has no ferments, floral water or plant extracts beyond the gums, and adds sodium DNA, hydrolyzed collagen, vitamin B12 and the peptide run instead.
Neither is vegan: Biodance says its collagen comes from fish, and Medicube's PDRN is salmon-derived.
Our take: if you liked Biodance's format, the Medicube sheet is the closest swap, with PDRN and peptides in place of ferments and botanicals. If you avoid floral waters or plant extracts, the Medicube list is the plainer of the two. We don't stock Biodance at Sleepy Hello; our Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask review covers its formula and wear-time guidance in detail.
Quick answers
Does the Medicube PDRN gel mask contain real collagen?
Yes, hydrolyzed collagen is on the ingredient list, but Medicube doesn't publish its percentage, and our product page doesn't name its source. In a mask, collagen works as a moisturizing, skin-conditioning ingredient at the surface; it doesn't replace the collagen in your skin.
Is the Medicube gel mask good for sensitive skin?
It is a reasonable candidate for easily irritated skin: the ingredient list has no fragrance or ethanol, and Medicube says it was tested for low irritation. That still isn't a guarantee, so start with a one-hour daytime session before you try a full night.
Should you rinse after the Medicube gel mask?
Medicube's directions only say to remove the sheet; they don't mention rinsing. Pressing in the leftover essence and then moisturizing is the usual approach. Rinse with lukewarm water if your skin feels sticky.
Can you reuse a Medicube gel mask sheet?
No. Each sachet holds one sheet for one wear, and an opened sheet isn't designed to be stored and worn again.
Where can you buy the Medicube PDRN gel mask in the US?
Pick Medicube's Collagen Night Wrapping Mask for frequent overnight use at well under $1 a night; the PDRN Gel Mask is a $5-a-sheet occasional hydrogel.
