Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil is a lightweight, rinse-off oil cleanser made for the first step of a double cleanse. You work it into a dry face, where it dissolves sunscreen, non-waterproof base makeup, and the sebum that collects over a long day.

Soybean oil leads the formula, chosen for a thin, slippy feel rather than a heavy one, alongside olive, sunflower, and moringa seed oils. Ginseng seed oil gives the bottle its warm amber colour and its faint grassy note. Once you add lukewarm water, the texture turns milky so everything it has gathered lifts off rather than smearing around.

Because it rinses without leaving a slick, it works for dry, normal, combination, oily, and sensitive skin. Beauty of Joseon formulates the cleanser without added fragrance, and the finished product is vegan and cruelty-free.

It is not the right tool for waterproof mascara or a full-coverage base, so reach for a dedicated remover there. For everything else one or two pumps is the whole job, morning or night, with a water-based wash after it when you want a deeper clean.
