Where does it sit in my routine?

Right at the end of the evening. Cleanse, then apply toner, then any essence or serum, then this. Because it forms the outermost layer, anything you put on afterwards has a harder time getting through. There is no morning conflict to think about either, since it is a night step and sunscreen never has to compete with it. Two thin coats suit a difficult week better than one heavy one.

Will it feel greasy on the pillow?

It is a cushioned cream texture rather than a slippery balm, but it is genuinely rich. The oil side is squalane with jojoba and sunflower seed oils, and cetearyl alcohol gives it body. Most people find it sinks in within a few minutes and leaves a soft finish. If you sleep warm, use less and allow longer before lying down.

Is there any fragrance in it?

None is added. PURITO states the formula is fragrance-free and essential-oil free, and the panel bears that out: nothing labelled fragrance, parfum or essential oil is present. A faint raw-material scent from the plant oils and the centella extract can still come through, which is normal and settles quickly. The preservative side runs on 1,2-hexanediol with hydroxyacetophenone rather than parabens or phenoxyethanol, so nothing is masking a scent either.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes on both counts. The gallery artwork for this pack shows a registered V-Label vegan certification and a cruelty-free rabbit, and PURITO states the same brand-wide in its published FAQ. Nothing on the panel is animal-derived: Ceramide NP is made synthetically, the lecithin here is plant-sourced, and the vegan certification is what rules out shark-derived squalane, which is the question people usually want answered about this ingredient.

Is it safe for fungal acne?

Probably not, if you are strict about it. Several entries are ones that Malassezia-avoidant routines usually exclude, among them caprylic/capric triglyceride, cetearyl alcohol, polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate and hydrogenated lecithin. PURITO makes no claim either way. If you follow that protocol closely, read the full list on this page against your own reference before buying rather than relying on a yes or no.

PURITO does not publish one for this pack, and we are not going to estimate a number we cannot source. For a leave-on overnight moisturiser it matters far less than it would for a cleanser or an acid, because nothing here depends on a narrow pH window in order to work. If you need the figure, PURITO customer service is the reliable route.

Has this formula changed from the original version?

No. An earlier version of this pack was built on shea butter and olive fruit oil with a far higher centella figure, and it still turns up in old reviews and in some ingredient databases. The current tube, the one marked Squalane + Panthenol, uses squalane, jojoba and sunflower seed oils in their place. The list shown on this page is the current one.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack is the last thing PURITO wants on your face at night. The 80 ml tube prints Squalane + Panthenol on the front and marks itself for dry and sensitive skin types, and that is a fair summary of the job it does: a cushioned overnight layer that holds the rest of your routine in place until morning.

Centella asiatica extract is the headline, and PURITO goes further than most brands by declaring the four isolated centella molecules on the panel by name — madecassoside, asiaticoside, madecassic acid and asiatic acid — rather than stopping at the extract and leaving you to guess what sits inside it.

The barrier side is Ceramide NP, one specific ceramide rather than a vague complex, worked in with squalane, jojoba and sunflower seed oils. Panthenol and sodium hyaluronate handle the water side. Together they give the pack a rich first feel that settles into something closer to a soft film than a cream.

Nothing is added for scent: no fragrance, no essential oil. Preservation is 1,2-hexanediol with hydroxyacetophenone. The brand's own artwork for this pack carries a V-Label vegan mark and a cruelty-free rabbit, and green tea leaf extract closes the ingredient list.

Concerns & Benefits

Your Concerns

1
Skin Barrier
Skin that feels thin and porous at breakfast, no matter what went on at bedtime.
2
Dehydration
That tight, papery feeling after cleansing that another serum never quite manages to settle.
3

How To Use

1Apply this last, once everything else has gone on.
2Cleanse, then apply toner and any essence or serum.
3Take a moderate amount onto clean fingertips.
4Spread it gently across the face, avoiding the immediate eye area.
5Leave it on overnight and do not rinse before bed.
6Cleanse as usual the next morning. On especially dry or unsettled nights, building a couple of thin coats works better than one heavy application. External use only. Store away from direct sunlight and keep out of reach of young children. If redness, itching or swelling appears, stop using it, and speak to a doctor if it does not settle.

Frequently asked questions

Do I rinse this off before bed?

No, it stays on. Despite the word pack, this is a leave-on overnight step rather than a wash-off mask. Apply it last, go to sleep, and rinse in the morning as part of your usual cleanse. PURITO's own direction is to let the skin absorb it fully overnight without washing it off, so there is no waiting period you need to time.
