Green Tea
Specific tea-leaf formulas may support hydration and a smoother, less shiny look.
Super Matcha Pore Clean Clay Mask is a thick, pale putty-grey clay you spread over a dry face and rinse away ten to twenty minutes later. SOME BY MI prints its two headline figures straight onto the ingredient panel rather than leaving them to the marketing: kaolin at 120,000 ppm, sitting second on the list behind water alone, and green tea water at 102,000 ppm just below the glycerin.
The tea appears four separate times — as water, as whole leaf, as milled powder and as an extract — and the brand's own product imagery credits Boseong, the county in South Jeolla best known for growing it. Around them sit bentonite, silica and a trace of Manicouagan clay, with centella asiatica extract, houttuynia cordata powder and tea tree leaf water lower down. White willow bark and capryloyl salicylic acid supply the BHA.
It is built for skin that reads shiny by mid-afternoon, catches on a cotton pad, and shows its pores most across the nose and centre of the forehead. The layer dries down firm and matte, so what you rinse off to is clean and faintly taut rather than cushioned. Moisturiser immediately afterwards is part of the step, not an afterthought.
Two notes worth having up front. This is a weekly or twice-weekly ritual rather than a nightly one. And where the toner and serum in the same Super Matcha line carry Korea's dual-function cosmetic registration, the mask is registered as an ordinary cosmetic.
