This is a rinse-off overnight mask rather than a leave-on sleeping cream, and that one difference shapes how you use it. You apply a layer as the last step at night, sleep in it, and wash it off with water in the morning — Sulwhasoo specifically suggests skipping cleansing foam on that first rinse so you do not strip away what settled overnight.
The texture is a proper cream, thick enough to sit as a soft film without turning tacky against a pillowcase. A 120ml tube is a lot of product for a mask, so most people use it two or three nights a week rather than nightly, and you can lay it on thicker after a day in the sun or spread it thin as an ordinary last step.
